925 Sterling Silver and 0.8 carat Aquamarine CZ ‘Broch’ Ring (Size Q.5)

Scotland is very close to my heart, the landscape the architecture, the history all hold a piece of my soul. I wanted to design a piece of jewellery which to me possesses all those qualities and so the Broch ring was born. A Broch is an Ironage round house or circular tower. I took inspiration from two particular brocks. Carloway Broch in the Outer Hebrides where I have visited for over 25 years and Dun Dornaigil Broch near Loch Eriboll. 
The texture and shape of these brocks lend themselves particularly well to my brock ring which I have heavily textured before adding a gem set in a thistle shaped bezel. 
The 0.8 carat round cut aquamarine cubic zirconia is 6mm in diameter. I have stamped 925 inside the wide band to signify it’s all made from solid sterling silver. The band is flat but slightly wider at the front than the back and the gem has been set to the edge to compliment the width of the band at the front. 
 
Size Q.5 with an inner diameter of 18.5mm. The ring stands proud of the finger 5.4mm. The ring band is 10.47mm wide at the front tapering to 8.28mm at the back. 
All my jewellery is handmade by me in solid (not plated) silver and sent to you in my signature gift box.
