925 Sterling Silver and and 2.04ct Round Smokey Quartz Solitaire Ring (Size S)

Whilst most of my jewellery making has in the main focused around my love of seaglass this 2.04 carat round cut smokey quartz solitaire claw set ring is something a little different.
 
Whilst the size of the stone has impact and let’s admit, 2 carats is pretty spectacular, I wanted to lend this ring to a slightly contemporary design.
 
The stone is set within a concave disc of silver that has an asymmetric border which frames the stone and the claw setting to draw more attention to the gem itself.
 
The interior of the dome housing has been lightly textured which reflects through the Smokey quartz for the extra bit of dimension.
 
I have designed this ring in such a way that it will comfortably sit alongside a plain band ring as per your preference.
 
This is a 925 Sterling Silver solitaire ring. It’s a size S. The inner diameter is 18.99mm. The shank is a halo profile (round in the cross section) and has a width of 2.09mm.
 
The round cut gem is an equivalent of 2.04 carats and is 8mm in diameter. The diameter of the actual frame claw setting is 11.85mm and will stand proud of the finger 7.5mm.
