Antique 1895 Sterling Silver Art Nouveau Iris Brooch Pin Weir & Son Dublin Box

My passion for precious metals and my journey as a silversmith along with my love of history has allowed me to curate a special collection of Antique and Vintage finds that I cannot wait to share. 
I have a particular affection for Victorian Silver but some pieces extend into Edwardian and early 20th century. 
This lovely Iris pin brooch is so detailed and lifelike there is t really anything about it that’s not to love. It comes complete with its Weir & Sons Dublin presentation box & whilst tested as sterling silver is unhallmarked but that’s not surprising for the Art Nouveau era and dates to around 1895. It’s roughly 57.2mm long, has a very strong clasp and weighs toughly 3.5g. Whilst this is a vintage pre loved piece and does have age related characteristics these only add to the charm of it. Its had no repairs, just a clean and polish ready to wear or gift.
