Antique 1920’s 925 Italy Silver Equestrian Jockey Cap Pendant & Trace Chain

My passion for precious metals and my journey as a silversmith along with my love of history has allowed me to curate a special collection of Antique and Vintage finds that I cannot wait to share. 
I have a particular affection for Victorian Silver but some pieces extend into Edwardian and early 20th century. 
This particular piece is a 925 sterling silver jockey cap and whip pendant, perfect for all those equestrians. It’s stamped 1215 V1 925 and is likely from Italy and dates to around 1920 - 1930. It’s roughly 54mm long by 20.25mm by 14mm and weighs 9g. Whilst this is a vintage pre loved piece and does have age related characteristics these only add to the charm of it. It has been polished and all damaged or loose links have been repaired or replaced to ensure the piece can be worn without worrying that it will become detached or lost. 
I’ve added it to a modern 18” silver trace chain so it’s ready to wear.
