Antique 1930’s Sterling Silver Ski Pole Brooch Pin

My passion for precious metals and my journey as a silversmith along with my love of history has allowed me to curate a special collection of Antique and Vintage finds that I cannot wait to share. 
I have a particular affection for Victorian Silver but some pieces extend into Edwardian and early 20th century. 
This particular piece is a sterling silver ski pole brooch stamped ‘Sterling’on the shaft and dates to around 1920 - 1930. It’s roughly 60mm long. The snow basket has a diameter of 17mm and does actually freely spin around. It has a traditional pin with a rollover clasp. It weighs 4.5g. Whilst this is a vintage pre loved piece and does have age related characteristics these only add to the charm of it. Its had no repairs, just a clean and polish ready to wear or gift.
