Assay Hallmarked Silver Amethyst ’Acorn’ Chunky Belcher Chain Necklace 24”

I’m particularly fond of creating tactile jewellery that keeps idle hands occupied so it’s no surprise at all that this large amethyst was destined for one of my one of a kind statement necklaces. 
I bought this vintage amethyst egg from the bottom of a bowl of mixed crystals sat there very scuffed and feeling sorry for itself. I’m drawn to symmetry so I just had to have it. I’m not into lapidary but I could see the potential of this piece so i used a layer of strong resin to bring the shine back and exploit those vibrant colours and to give it a hug of protection. I’ve added a thick cup of silver around the bottom stamped with my ‘Paul Stephenson Jewellery’ branding and topped off with a cute variation to my anchor shackle bail. Ive married it all together with a detachable 24” chunky oval belcher to finish the whole look which is hallmarked on my trademark tag near the clasp.  The pendant is roughly 58mm long from the top of the two rings to the tip and 26mm diameter at the widest. The whole necklace weighs 57g. Most customers choose a longer length chain for my statement pieces so I’ve added the option to upgrade to a 34” chain as per your preference.
