Birmingham 1889 Silver 16” Chunky Graduated Albert Chain, Tbar & Dog Clip

My passion for precious metals and my journey as a silversmith along with my love of history has allowed me to curate a special collection of Antique and Vintage finds that I cannot wait to share. 
I have a particular affection for Victorian Silver but some pieces extend into Edwardian and early 20th century. 
Here we have a nice chunky Albert chain which is 16” in length and is a graduated width being 8.56mm at the widest and comes complete with its T bar which is 38.27mm long, Hallmarked Birmingham 1889. Makers mark TMM? Each link is also stamped with the lion passant albeit some are worn and illegible. The inclusion of the original dog clip affords you a nice, complete, authentic antique contemporary neck piece which can be worn as is or by clipping onto clasp your favourite charms or pendants to style up as per your preference . Total weight is roughly 50.8g of solid silver that’s 137 years old. 
Whilst this is a vintage pre loved piece and does have age related characteristics these only add to the charm of it. It has been polished and all damaged or loose links have been repaired or replaced to ensure the piece can be worn without worrying that it will become detached or lost.
