Birmingham 1905 Round Silver Scroll Pattern Vesta & 16” Belcher Chain
My passion for precious metals and my journey as a silversmith along with my love of history has allowed me to curate a special collection of Antique and Vintage finds that I cannot wait to share.
I have a particular affection for Victorian Silver but some pieces extend into Edwardian and early 20th century.
This particular piece is a sympathetic marriage between a pretty round shaped scroll design vesta with a luscious gilt interior and a modern narrow belcher chain which compliments the weight and style of the vesta which is perfect for holding small sentimental treasures whilst on your travels.
The sterling silver chain is 16” in length so it will sit nice and close to the neck. It’s a narrow chain that has a width of 3mm and comes complete with a contemporary hook clasp. The vesta is permanently attached to the central point of the chain. It has a blank cartouche on the front and the lid opens and closes firmly. It’s 42.85mm diameter x 6.56mm and hallmarked Birmingham 1905 on the inner lip. Makers mark CE & FDLD. The rich golden gilt interior really sets this vesta ahead of others and its size is very desirable. Collectively the necklace weighs roughly 25g
Whilst this is a vintage pre loved piece and does have age related characteristics these only add to the charm of it. It has been polished and all damaged or loose links have been repaired or replaced to ensure the piece can be worn without worrying that it will become detached or lost.
All my jewellery is sent to you in my signature gift box.
