Birmingham 1906 Silver 18” Slim Albert Chain, Tbar & Dog Clip
My passion for precious metals and my journey as a silversmith along with my love of history has allowed me to curate a special collection of Antique and Vintage finds that I cannot wait to share.
I have a particular affection for Victorian Silver but some pieces extend into Edwardian and early 20th century.
This particular piece is a sympathetic marriage between a slim single Albert chain with its original T Bar and the addition of a new dog clip to form a lovely contemporary necklace.
The chain is 18” in length and is a narrower width than I usually have available which is roughly 5.6mm at the widest as it is still very marginally graduated and comes complete with its original swivel T bar which is 37.3mm long, Hallmarked Birmingham 1906. Makers mark HB. Each link is also stamped with the lion passant albeit most are worn and illegible. The addition of the modern dog clip allows you to clip into the Tbar link to form a chain with a nice classic look. Total weight is roughly 31.7g
Whilst this is a vintage pre loved piece and does have age related characteristics these only add to the charm of it. It has been polished and all damaged or loose links have been repaired or replaced to ensure the piece can be worn without worrying that it will become detached or lost.
All my jewellery is sent to you in my signature gift box.
