Hallmarked Silver, Quartz & Opalite, Chunky Oval Link Statement Necklace 19”
This is a significant ‘one of one’ piece designed to showcase a specially curated collection of gemstones and vintage glass into a hugely contemporary but very bold statement necklace with the aim of showcasing the beauty within each component.
The large milky quartz takes centre stage but flanked by an equally impressive clear quartz with all its unique inclusions and rutilations. These are framed just around the edge with lashings of silver to make the most of the gemstones. The vintage camera lens has a slightly frosted age related appearance, bezel set with a window back to give added texture and interest with my Paul Stephenson Jewellery branding stamped around the edge. The white opalite sphere and two smaller vintage glass marbles are set in the same way as my fidget spinners with silver around the edge securing the marble in place but allowing it to move freely within the setting.
The chain is also handmade from forged 1.5mm silver wire that I’ve shaped into chunky ovals which are each roughly 11mm long, each one soldered shut for complete security. All the metal elements are solid silver and completely handmade. Fully hallmarked on my trademark tag attached to the hook clasp at the back which is also handmade. Total weight of the necklace is 91.8g
The large milky quartz at the front is 38.9mm x 35.5mm x 9.57mm and each stone is slightly smaller than the previous with the glass marbles at either side being 13mm in diameter. Total length of the necklace is 19”.
